2026-2027
● The Food Forest plantation on 5-6 hectares of fallow land will be completed, and some small and fast-growing species (aromatic plants, herbaceous plants and shrubs) will have begun to generate their first products (berries, wild berries, etc.)
● The water supply system for fertigation of the plants will be made almost independent through the implementation of a phyto-remediation and storage system for the black and grey water produced by the farm, which will meet the total water demand by compensating for any potential lack of green and blue water supply
● The recovery of the paths rainwater regimentation and targeted harvesting to convert the Five Oaks Forest from coppice to high-trunk management will significantly increase the provision of certain key ecosystem services for the implementation of the MULTIRES project in the long term, i.e., soil erosion protection, carbon uptake and storage, removal of atmospheric pollutants, maintenance of micro-habitats for biodiversity and the provision of recreational services for hikers and sportsmen
● The company will also have increased and diversified the number of so-called “provisioning services” (ecosystem services of the “food, material and energy” category), including the production of honey (lavender, forest and mixed-flower honey), the production of eggs and white meat from extensive poultry farming, and the production of seasonal vegetables, which will be added to the existing production of extra-virgin olive oil
● From the energy point of view, the company will have, on the one hand, begun to produce on-site renewable electricity from photovoltaic panels, and on the other taken specific actions to reduce and optimise its electricity and heat consumption, for example by replacing the LPG boiler with a solar thermal system integrated with heat production technologies from wood and mixed residual biomass, with storage systems for the surplus of energy
